Description
The living area is open-planned with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. With its high ceiling, roof beams and spiral staircase, the living area has a very spacious feel to it. In the summer the French windows add to the spaciousness with views onto the garden and, in the winter, the wood burning stove gives a warm and cozy feeling to the gîte. The gîte is located in the owners' garden, at a good distance from their house so as to allow privacy. Next to the gîte is a small orchard and renters are welcome to pick cherries, plums and apricots when these are in season. The gîte has two bedrooms, one downstairs with a double bed and one on the mezzanine floor with two single beds. Both bedrooms have large built-in cupboards. Additional beds can be provided by arrangement. The bathroom - equipped with a shower - is downstairs. Although it is not designed for wheelchair access, the bathroom and ground floor of the gite are suitable for people with mobility problems. Please contact the owner before booking if you have any mobility requirements. Sun lovers will appreciate the gîte's two terraces : the front terrace has views onto the garden while the shaded back terrace has views over farmland, with woodland in the background. The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, ceramic hob and oven. The owners are happy to provide any additional utensils if needed. If you are visiting in the winter, you will find the gîte warm and comfortable. It is equipped with an electric central heating system, which uses oil-filled radiators to provide a gentle and pleasant heat. The wood-burning stove can provide additional heat and the building is well insulated and has double-glazing.
We ask for a 30% booking deposit and a security deposit of 50%. We use a contract provided by Clevacances which provides for dispute resolution in the unlikely event of a disagreement.
