A newly-renovated rural gite on a farm with 30 acres of land, a river, lake, and pond. The gite features an exposed tuffeau wall and beams. The farm is 2 miles from Allonnes, a small town which has a supermarket with Sunday morning shopping. Saumur is our nearest large town, where there are many restaurants, the French Cavalry School and a chateau over loooking the River Loire. The towns of Angers and Tours are also wothin easy reach. We are in the middle of vinyard country with Saumur, Chinon, St Nicholas, and Bourgueil, all with their different wines to sample.
